Could not load file or assembly

Hi there,

Neat looking mod!

How to I resolve this ewrror when I have placed this mod onto a page?

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load file or assembly 'SW.DotNetNuke, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Thanks,

D

Dan,

Thank you.  All you need to do to resolve that is download and install the SW.Common module package from the "Downloads" section.  All SeeleyWare modules have a set of common routines they use in the background and, rather than package those DLLs up with each module (and risk version mismatch if people are using multiple SeeleyWare modules), I packaged all common functionality into a separate "module".

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist.

Thanks,

Re: Could not load file or assembly

Get the exact same error after installing the common module. running on windows vista sp1. Any other idea? The install folder of the common module only contains 3 files though. is that correct?

Re: Could not load file or assembly

Can you confirm the presence of SW.DotNetNuke in your [DNNROOT]\bin folder?  Ultimately you should have SW.DockMenu, SW.DotNetNuke, SW.Common, SW.License.Common, Codex.Common, JTS.Common, and SW.DotNetNuke.WebControls in your bin folder (not all are directly used by DockMenu, but I package all common DLLs into a single package).

The install folder of the common module does have very little files in there as the files themselves are not used, only the DLLs packaged with it (but to install a module requires at least a "view" control).
