About:
The SW.Text module allows you, as an administrator, to define one or more versions of text to display based on a logged-in user's security roles. Content is set in a priority order so it targets a particular role before waterfalling down to the next role in line. Example: you set content for Registered Users, Subscribers, and SuperRole and you wish anybody in SuperRole to have a particular content show up instead of Registered User text; you want Subscribers to see a certain text and lastly you have a "catch-all" for anybody registered so you set a "Registered User" text.
Compatibility:
SW.Text has been tested on DNN4.6.2 and DNN4.7. It is compatible with any version of DotNetNuke 4.6.2 or higher using Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 or SQL Express.
Product Information:
Filling the gap in targeted HTML content, the SW.Text module was designed to allow more customized content without having to pull your hair out figuring out the security role combinations to show content to your users. You can create content and assign a role it targets, then set the priority in which that content should be delivered to the users.
Feature List:
- Role-Deniability: Want to show the content to everybody who isn't in a particular role but can't do it because people in that one role also have other roles? Now you can deny content if they fall in a role you want to exclude. Allows zero or more roles to be mapped through the "settings" option.
- Role-based Content: Set up more than one version of the content and target a particular order to deliver content appropriately. See demo for more details.
